REWRITE THE FUTURE ON A BLANK SHEET

Italtex: Womenswear Colour and Fabric Trends Spring/Summer 2022

Total white, a white sheet from which to start again, compact cotton canvases made uneven by coarser yarns. Elaborate structures in low count yarns and crochet entrelacs. 100% recycled polyester for subdued yet clean jacquard and, as opposed, terry effect sweater in viscose/elite, the PBT polyester with natural stretch features and chlorine and UV ray resistant.

RAW SHADES

Natural and raw like rope shades, on a cotton and linen base, play with undefined transparencies in jersey fabric. Irregular, slub and wavy yarns get highlighted by coarse structures.
Neppy weft yarns create blurred grounds for jacquard geometries.

ORANGE TOUCHES

Italtex: Womenswear Colour and Fabric Trends Spring/Summer 2022

Amusing striped t-shirts, where a touch of orange or yellow illuminates the uneven surfaces created by linen, here blended with the highly sustainable cellulosic fibre of Tencel. Simple, wash finish plain-weave effects, overprinting combinations, a look suitable to COZY style clothing, for comfortable easy-wear. Orange dots light up small flowers on fil-coupé organza and enliven the discreet camouflage damask fabric.

ACID YELLOWS ON KRAFT BEIGE

Italtex: Womenswear Colour and Fabric Trends Spring/Summer 2022

Kraft colour is one of the most accessible beige. Here, it is declined in cotton/viscose small geometric pattern damask, highlighted by matt/shiny fibres.Large jacquard acid flowers stand out on a neutral ground.
Knits create light/dark beige textures, while the combination with acid yellow enhances classic squares in polyester/wool twill.

DIGITAL COLOURS

Italtex: Womenswear Colour and Fabric Trends Spring/Summer 2022

Wool or stretch cotton classic checks rejuvenate in bold combinations of bright, digital colours, like the images our eyes are getting used to in the daily scroll of our smartphone. Summer tweeds and sequins are combined with piece-dyed stretch twill fabrics. Double-face jacquards and two-tone scuba designed with laser cutting.
