Designer: Stéphane Rolland Location: The Favart room of the Opéra Comique Theme: Art or casualnessCollection: The starting point: the meeting of several artists. On stage: small hands, the violoncellist François Salque and singers from Les Cœurs Parisiens. A softened allure this season with satin crepe as the key fabric. The tones are soft powder whites and ambers, the volumes are floaty, ethereal and oversized. Focus: on the tailored flannel trousers, a long coat and its gazar crinoline over leather black shorts. To note: the embroidered metallic disks and fringing, or the 3D foliage and branches and six exceptional dresses, embroidered with the finest jewelry released in collaboration with the jeweler Albert Boghossian. Interview with Stéphane Rolland: All of my collections are encounters and this time, I met François Salque who gave a recital and it was an intense emotion and I said to myself, what could we do with François. We met, we spoke a lot and that’s how the project was born, and we also introduced at the end Les Cœurs Parisiens who sang for us because at the end we wanted to have a sort of emotional vibe for the bride. It was a true summer collection, fresh, but powerful, because I always try to create balance, the tones were very soft, like the colours of skin, very white, ivory, pearly and always punctuated with crystal or metal. It’s been ages since I’ve wanted to touch jewelry, it’s a childhood dream and I had the opportunity to meet Albert Boghossian, we said why not make something together and I said yes, I’d love to create something with jewelry and why not make jewelry dresses, so I said let’s go, let’s do it.
